Aiko Sugihara, a first-year student at Baika High School in Osaka Prefecture, cleared the age limit for the World Championships this year captured a double at the Asian Championships on Friday, winning the individual all-around and helping Japan to win Gold in the team event.
In the individual all-around, Sugihara scored 58.050 points, 0.050 ahead of China’s Wang Yan. Teramoto was third, 0.250 behind Wang.
