Happy Birthday Natalia Yurchenko

Happy Birthday Natalia Yurchenko - born January 26, 1965 in Norijsk, Russia, is a retired Russian Gymnast, who was the women's all-around gold medalist at the 1983 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Renowned for her innovative and daring gymnastics, she is best known as the originator of the Yurchenko vault family, which is a round-off back handspring entry onto the vault, and then performing a series of twists and flips off.


She retired from gymnastics in 1986.

Gymnastics Camp for Coaches

Saudi Gymnastics Federation will hold a local training camp for their coaches in Riyad, Saudi Arabia from the 15 – 21 February 2015.

Zambri Zainal Abidin from the Malaysian Gymnastics Federation, is a great teacher and gymnastics coach from Malaysia was invited to conduct the camp and help grow Olympic sport in Saudi Arabia. Coaches could get everything they needed to start coaching after this camp.

Trampoline, tumbling and double mini-trampoline USA, EDP International exchange 2015

 USA Gymnastics recently hosted 23 Level 9 and 10 athletes, along with 12 athletes from Denmark and Canada, at an international Elite Development Program international exchange program held at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic training site. The five-day exchange included a competition among the athletes and a coaches clinic, attended by 22 coaches total from Canada, Denmark and the United States.

The exchange program was designed to foster and facilitate athletes and coaches with moving from the top of the Junior Olympic levels into the elite ranks. The camp included instruction from the USA’s national coaching staff and a strength and conditioning clinician. The meet featured competition in trampoline, tumbling and double mini-trampoline. Konstantin Gulisashavili directed the exchange program, and the clinicians were Tatiana Kovaleva, Chauncy Haydon and Scott Lineberry.
