MALAYSIAN GYMNASTICS UP

It is important for gymnasts to have confidence in their organization. This has sometimes been a problem within Malaysian Gymnastics. A ‘ periphery versus centre’ culture is not healthy for anyone in Malaysian Gymnastics ( ie. National coach, personal coach, manager, administrator, gymnast etc. ) It is everyone’s ( including coaches’ ) responsibility to “ talk Malaysian Gymnastics up “. That is, whenever we hear someone speak badly of Malaysian Gymnastics, it is our responsibility to question the validity of that negative standpoint and speak positively of what is our Federation. It is only in this cohesive way that we can move forward together. Also, the gymnast will e more confident in Malaysian Gymnastics if his/her coach encourages such an attitude. Each person in within Malaysian Gymnastics regardless of his/her position should communicate positively within and about Malaysian Gymnastics. Confidence in the organization is crucial to successful performance.

Malaysian Gymnastics Top Performers

Malaysian Gymnasts must make an effort ot improve the optional program, as it is taken for granted that without some elements of 'D' and 'E's"no score will exceed 14.000 points anymore. This strategy is conclusive. Unfortunately, we are almost inclined to say, if by the term of artistic gymnastics we think more of art than of acrobatics.

In the last Natioonal Championships ( December 2010 ) the compulsory program did not bring stisfactory results. Some gymnasts were awarded negative scores.

As for the women's championships little is to be added, but some commentaries are noteworthy. Some young girls risked too much and did not yet show sufficient technical safety to master difficult elemets, although some girls there were already showing their exercises with expressiveness and gracefulness.

Hoping that the coming Malaysia Games in Kuala Lumpurwill not have negative scores.
