Remembering Romania's Ungureanu.

Corina Georgiana Ungureanu  born August 29, Ploieşti, is a world-class Romanian artistic gymnast who competed internationally between 1993 and 1999. She was a member of two gold medal-winning World Championships teams and was the 1998 European Champion on the floor exercise.

Retired from gymnastics long time ago...15 years! highly qualified coach, national judge and graduated from the Sport University in Bucharest. left for the UK, to coach, more exactly in Isle of Man. Came back home at the end of 2011 made very good programs for athletes, for kids and and to promote the different sport activities in Ploiesti. 

She realizes how much Romanian sport needs to be represented by people who know the needs of Romanian sport education. Ungureanu involved in different programs for promoting physical education in her town and  country.

Ungureanu is now  coaching,  along with 2 former champion gymnasts from Petrolul Ploiesti, Anamaria Tamarjan and Adriana Tamarjan. They started with a large group in January this year and are happy to have at least 5 girls with great potential for the future.
