2014 Sofia European Men's and Women's Artistics Gymnastics Championships

Floor Exercise - Russia's Ablyazin won each event final he competed in (floor, rings and vault). On floor Ablyazin had the highest difficulty, and good execution to score 15.700. Greece's Kosmidis scored 15.533 to win silver. There was a tie for the bronze medal between Purvis (GBR) and Shatilov (ISR).

Pommel Horse - Whitlock (GBR) won Great Britain's only gold medal of the senior event finals: he scores a massive 16.166 to take gold on pommel horse beating Olympic champion Berki (HUN). Slovenia's Bertoncelj won the bronze medal.  “I’m happy with the result and most of all with my score on pommel horse; I understand it is the highest so far in the competition. We have trained very hard for this championships.” said Whitlock.

Rings - Ablyazin tied for gold on rings with his teammate Balandin. France's Ait Said won bronze. 

Vault - On vault Ablyazin had the highest difficulty of the entire field. Ukraine's Radivilov and Verniaiev won silver and bronze.

Parallel Bars -  Verniaiev (UKR) was first up on parallel bars and produced a fabulously executed and difficult routine. Nobody came close to beating him. Russia's Belyavskiy was second and Zonderland won the bronze.

High Bar - Olympic Champion Epke Zonderland (NED) easily won high bar after big rival Hambuechen fell. Zonderland scored 15.866, a full point more than silver medalist Sam Oldham (GBR) and bronze medalist Kristian Thomas (GBR).
