2013 Worlds Tanya Nabiyeva
Latest news: Nabiyeva may well not compete all around after a low landing (to her head) on a floor tumble. She says she is determined to compete, but does not know in what capacity. She is injured, but not seriously
.But still to be confirmed officially.

LEFTERIS KOSMIDIS - I put MYSELF TO FAVOURITES '
Lefteris Kosmidis of Greece, is 22 years old, started
gymnastics at age 5. His parents were former gymnasts and coaches.
Gold medalist at the World Championships in
Rotterdam 2010.Three years after his triumph in Rotterdam, Lefteris Kosmidis is
targeting a new distinction at the world championship Antwerp, 2013. The Floor
Exercise specialist is ready for the
competition beginning September 30 - October 6, where it is again one of the
favorites.
His routines will involve risk and new skills. The
difficulty value starts at 6.80 with the
potential to rise further. “ You need such a high value” he exclaimed.

Team Ireland - Artistic World Championships
Team Ireland
will be at the World Artistic Gymnastics
Championships together with all the international
gymnasts in the world.
The six- strong Irish squad have been training hard preparing for this competition. .
WAG competitors are Nicole
Mawhinney, Emma Lunn and India McPeak .
MAG competitors are Anthony O’Donnell, Chris O’Connor and Andrew
Smith.( Anthony had to replace Luke Carson due to injury )

Who will be the All Around Champion at the World 2013 ?
First Day of the podium training Friday 27.9.13. and
everybody is excited to know if Uchimura of Japan can maintain his position after
having ingrained in the pages of the Guinness book of World Records for having three consecutive world championship
titles.
Gymnast to watch are Nikolai Kuksenkov, Oleg Verniaiev, Fabian Hambuechen ( 2013
Kazan, All Around, Silver ) David Belyavskiy
(He won bronze in all-around at the 2012 Stuttgart World Cup. ), Sam Mikulak and Max
Witlock of Great Britain, his first
World Championships after London.

Meet Italy's WAG World Gymnastic Championships 2013
This year four women have been selected to go to Antwerp for
Italy. It is a mixed group of both experienced and inexperienced gymnasts.
Vanessa

compete AA at Worlds.

Deagostini - will represent Italy at Worlds on beam.

Chusovitina ( UZB ) is a role model and an inspiration.
Gymnastics phenomenon Oksana Chusovitina began gymnastics in
19982. At 13 she won the all-around at the USSR National Championhips
Junior Division. Her career moves fast forward. She is the only of only two
female gymnasts to compete at the Olympics under three different national teams
that is USSR,Uzbekistan and Germany.
Chusovitina's career in
elite gymnastics has spanned more than 20 years. Oksana has
competed in 10 World Championships and holds the record for the most individual
world championships medals on ONE event.
Chusovitina is also one of
only a handful of women, along with Cuban Leyanet Gonzalez, Soviet legend Larisa Latynina, and Dutch Olympian Suzanne
Harmes, to return to high-level gymnastics and
international competition after becoming a mother
She loves tumbling
and vaulting except Uneven Bars. She is training on all four events but will
only compete on Vault and Beam.
Her advise “ Never give up and always aim towards your own
goals”

North Korea Sole WAG Hong Un Jong for 2013 World
Another sole WAG competitor at this years
World Championships is Hong Un Jong of
North Korea.
Hong Un Jong , 24 is the Beijing 2008 Olympic
Gold medalist on Vault. She competed in her first World Championships in 2006
placing 36th in AA qualification. She competed in her first and only Olympic
Games to date in Beijing 2008 and denying home favorite Cheng Fei of gold.in
the Vault event.
Following North Korea’s 2 year
ban from international competition due to age falsification claims in October/
November 2010, she was unable to compete at the 2011 World Championships to
qualify to the London 2012 following North Korea’s 2 year ban from
international competition due to age falsification claims in October/ November
2010 Games to defend her title.
At the Summer University Games 2013 Hong Un Jong tied for gold on Vault with Russia’s Ksenia
Afanseyva.
We hope to see her perform a triple twist on Vault. Good Luck.
Phan Thi Ha Thanh sole Vietnam WAG for Worlds 2013
Vietnam
is sending one Female gymnast Phan Thi Ha Thanh born 16 October 1991, at this years World
Championships.
She made her first International at the 2009 World Championships
although she did not qualify to any
event finals.Only a few years later did she competed
in Asian Games, Asian Championships and some World Cup Events, winning
on events such as Vault and Balance Beam at the 2010 Porto World Cup.
She qualified to the 2011 Worlds in the Vault event.
She managed with a bronze in the final behind McKayla Maroney and Oksana
Chusovitina. For that, she qualified a place at the London 2012 Olympic Games.At the 2011 Southeast Asian Games ( SEA Games ) Thi Ha Thanh Phan winning medals on Vault (gold), Floor (gold) and Beam (bronze). Her 2011 success continued on into December when she won gold on Vault at the Toyota Cup Gymnastics competition.

German WAG for WCh 2013
Elisabeth Seitz
She has competed in three World Championships, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Trains at TG Mannheim under head coach Ulla Koch She excelled
through the German gymnastics 2006 Seitz won 4 gold medals in the 2010 German
Championships. She was also very successful, placing 5th in both Bar and
Vault finals at the 2011 European Championships.. Competing on home turf, she
took silver in the AA competition with a score of 56.700.
Sophie SchederThe
youngest at 16 is a members of this
German Selection. . In 2012 she competed in the Junior European Championships
in Brussels where she placed 8th AA
and won Gold in the Bar finals..Sophie competed in her first Senior European
Championships earlier this year in Moscow . Most recently she competed at the
Dutch Invitational.
Pauline
Schäfer Pauline Schäfer is also 16.. The first year
senior competed at the German Nationals in Mannheim in May this year. She
surprised everyone with elegant skills and placed 4th in Vault finals, 3rd in Beam finals and 6th in Floor finals. She also placed 4th in the AA final with an impressive score of
51.998.
Cagla AkoylCagla
Akoy has just turned 16 is the youngest member of the German team She competed in the Cottbus Cup earlier this year. She was
4th in Floor finals.
We can expect this young
German Selection of Scheder,
Schäfer and Akoyl in future Olympics.
