It is about 1 year to go until the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The heat is on, and Europe’s gymnasts are now completely focused on probably the most difficult step: qualifying for the biggest sports event on earth! In rhythmic gymnastics both individuals and groups aim to qualify for the Rio Games at next month’s World Championships in Stuttgart (GER).
In the lead-up to these Championships, the FIG organizes 3 consecutive World Cup stages. Today 7.8.2015 the World Cup in Budapest (HUN) begins. The next weekend they will meet in the Bulgarian capital Sofia (BUL) while the weekend after in Kazan (RUS).
