The 12th National Game of the People’s Republic of China aka the National Games will be held in the northeastern province of Liaoning from August 31st to September 12th.
The National Games is the most prestigious domestic competition for all athletes and the prize money for the winners is comparable to that of the Olympics. Because if this lucrative nature of the competition, it’s expected that all athletes to bring their top game.
The detailed competition schedules are as follows:
• August 30 - MAG podium training• August 31 - WAG podium training• September 1 - MAG team & individual qualifications• September 2 - WAG team & individual qualifications• September 3 - MAG team finals• September 4 - WAG team finals• September 5 - MAG individual all-around finals• September 6 - WAG individual all-around finals• September 7 - Event finals (MFX, PH, WVT, SR, UB)• September 8 - Event finals (MVT, BB, PB, WFX, HB)
All gymnasts are expected to compete with the exception of Chen Yibing due to injury.
