27th SUMMER UNIVERSIADE, KAZAN, RUSSIA

Russia is hosting the Universiade  in the ancient city of Kazan (part of which is a UNESCO World Heritage site) from 6 – 17 July 2013 The Competition will be held at The Gymnastics Centre on of the largest sports complex in Russia.

Around 170 nations - to be more precise, 13,500 athletes and team officials - are expected to come to Kazan for the 2013 Summer Universiade. The World University Games promise to become the largest in terms of number of participants. For instance, the Shenzhen 2011 Summer Universiade brought together athletes from 154 countries. The largest delegations, apart from the host country, are expected from such sporting nations as the USA, Canada, China and Japan. The exact number of participants will be announced three months before the start of the Games. The countries that submitted general entry forms in October are Bulgaria, Austria, Algeria, Nigeria, Morocco, the Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, Japan, Latvia, Belarus, Botswana, Cyprus, Guatemala, India, Jordan, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Yemen.

9th European Championships TeamGym 2012


 TeamGym competition is one of the latest new events within the European Gymnastics Union (UEG). The first official competition was held in Finland in 1996 and it takes place every even-numbered year.
It is a team competition for clubs/nations and consist of three sections: women, men and mixed teams.
The  9th Europeans 2012 took place in the NRGi Park of Aarhus, Denmark, from Oktober 17 – 20, 2012.
After the opening ceremony on Wednesday, October 17, more than 450 gymnasts will compete in teams, on floor, tumbling and trampet during three days of competition from Thursday, October 18 on,  to  Saturday, October 20: 
A total of 11 Nations  will compete in all categories:
- 5 for Men’s Senior Teams
- 10 for Women’s Senior Teams
- 9 for Mixed Senior Teams, but also

- 7 for Women’s Junior Teams
- 3 for Men’s Junior Teams
- 5 for Mixed Junior Teams

Ditiatin Cup 2012, St Petersburg, Russia


October 12th 2012 Alexander Ditiatin Cup will start off  in St. Petersburg, Russia. The competition is held in honor of Alexander Dityatin, the all-around champion at the 1979 Worlds and 1980 Olympics. Dityatin was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2004. Last year two – time Russian Olympian Anna Pavlova won four of five gold medals at the event and is set to take to the competition floor again this year.
The Event Finals Qualification, All Around and Team Competition will be held on the 12th - Men’s (12.30pm – 3.00pm) and Women’s (4.40pm – 8.10pm) and the Event Finals held on the 13th from 12pm.
The results of this Junior and Senior competition (All Around & Individual) will be updated once they become available.
