Uchimura to sit out Asian championships

Kohei Uchimura will miss the upcoming Asian gymnastics championships in Hiroshima because of a shoulder injury, the five-time world all-around champion said on Tuesday.

Uchimura has been suffering from pain in his left shoulder and with the world championships approaching in October, he decided to skip the Asian championships, which begin on July 31, to focus on making a complete recovery.

We wish Uchimura quick recovery.

Reigning champion Senior Women, Kayleigh Silva will compete and try to retain her title in Liverpool.
