Borovets Ski Resort, Bulgaria, Samokov.

Aerobic: South Africa  Trio, Happy Ledwaba, Dominique Mann & Wilson Mafona will be competing at the FIG Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup in Bulgaria this weekend.

Brazil Athletes start training in Sao Paulo, for the world cup of artistic gymnastics

The first free training. On Thursday (30), Will be the training of podium on the stage of the competition.

The expectation  that  Brazil  athletes to lead  in triumph at  the world cup is high, including for the Olympic and World Champion In the Rings, Arthur Zanetti .

Zanetti Commented.. ' I am very happy to be able to compete this stage of the world cup here in Brazil. It will be a big test for the future competitions and feel that we will have the support of the public will be very good

Mexican Gymnasts Preparation for Worlds

Los Rodolfo Bonilla Ruiz, Javier Gonzalez and Kevin Balboa Ceda Gastelum is undergoing training at the Universal Gymnastics Sports Center in Miami, Florida. One of the objectives is  to polish their technique in preparation for  two stages of the World Cup in Portugal and Ukraine, in next May.

Bonilla said, “The exchange of experiences with American gymnasts is always good, and they have another working system and "we can assimilate to improve our routines for the World Cup.

" The first intervention of Mexicans will be in the World Cup in Anadia, Portugal, from 21 to 24 May and in Kiev, Ukraine, from 28 to 31 March. Besides Bonilla, Balboa and Cerda, Daniel Cervantes Javier Corral and are considered for the Pan American Games.

After the National Olympiad 2015, held in Nuevo Leon, the team will go to the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Scotland.

. "Due to two World Cups, one is in Portugal and one in Ukraine, and  as they are on the same dates we will divide the team, three gymnasts for competition, which are to be defined. Later Pan American Games and the World ", Bonilla explained.

The Pan American Games are scheduled from 15 to 11 July and the World Championship to be from October 24 to November 1 in Glasgow, Scotland, an event which will award seats to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Rhonda Faehn joins USA Gymnastics' staff

Florida coach Rhonda Faehn joins USA Gymnastics' staff

Florida head coach Rhonda Faehn has resigned from her position and will be joining the USAG staff as the Senior Vice President of Women's Program.

Faehn just finished her 13th season as head of the Gators program, with Florida taking the last three NCAA Championships. She was a member of the 1988 U.S. Olympic team and was a four-year member of the U.S. National Team.

Eva Serrano born 22 April 1978 in Nîmes, France was an individual rhythmic gymnast. She was the 1999 European All-around bronze medalist and is France's most decorated and successful rhythmic gymnast.

Russian Interviews w/R-Sport

The Russians all gave interviews to Maria Vorobyova, of R-Sport, after their respective qualifications today.

Ksenia Afanasyeva:

“It was scary,” said Afanasyeva, laughing, in conversation with journalists. “For me, it’s true, it was very scary. When I went out on floor, I was downright shaking. While I was doing floor exercise I felt that I had so much adrenaline that it was a little bit difficult to control myself. But on vault I was already calmer. I was shaking a little, but by then it wasn’t affecting my work.

At the moment I can’t say whether or not I have returned from a prolonged pause. When the finals are done it will be possible to take a breather. Although in general, it seems to me that the competition is going by calmly. In the first group there was almost no crowd. The judging – if I’m honest, the judging is strict, but maybe that’s good. We’ll see what happens in the final.”

30-years-old Sascha Palgen, 39 years old  has been competing for a long time, trains in Stuttgart (GER), He is the sole male artistic gymnast representing Luxemburg internationally.

He has been competiting at 11 Europeans.He  will competing on floor, pommel horse and rings in Montpellier.

He is preparing for the World Championships which are the first qualifying step and  hopefully be be able to qualify for a second Olympics.

He may end his career after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio (BRA).

Gymnast to watch Erika Fasana –Italy

6^th European Artistic Gymnastics Championships

Erika Fasana is 19-years-old and has been a mainstay on the Italian team for several years. She will be competing in all the four events in her 4^th European Championship this year.

She won bronze at the 2015 American Cup and silver on floor at the 2015 Jesolo Trophy.

Message of Condolence

 Malaysiagym  hereby expresses its heartfelt and sincere condolences on the passing away of SAGF gymnast, Lindokuhle Sithole yesterday from Pinetown Gymnastics Club, KZN, South Africa.

He was a passenger travelling with three  other gymnasts, en route from Durban to Pretoria for a National training camp. As per Allan Chadwick, Pinetown Club Manager,

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy and prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time.

2nd Annual International Day of Sports

On the second annual International Day of Sport for Development and Peace today ( 6 April 2015), top United Nations officials stressed the important role that sport can play in achieving sustainable progress and change.
“Sport has the power to help develop the potential of individuals, communities and nations,” said UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. “On this International Day, let us pledge to strengthen the role that sport plays in communities around the world. We need to have everyone on the team.”
Mr. Ban described the role sport plays in encouraging personal growth, eliminating gender barriers and building bridges across lines that might otherwise divide. He added that sport helps to create cultures where fundamental values such as equality, the acceptance of rules, mutual respect and fairness are appreciated.
“It helps the more vulnerable groups in society, especially young people and persons with disabilities, to enjoy their human rights, including safe opportunities to engage in physical education programs and sporting activities,” he said. “This contributes to their inclusion in society and increases their motivation to attend school.”
He underlined the role that the sporting industry can play in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices and commended athletes across the world for supporting United Nations efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. He also looked ahead to the new development agenda, saying he would continue looking to sportsmen and women to be advocates for building a better world for all.
“Sport has established itself as an effective tool for development and peace building,” said Wilfried Lemke, the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Adviser on Sport for Development and Peace. “As we are moving to a new set of sustainable development goals for the post-2015 development agenda, we have to make sure that sport keeps playing its beneficial role in it.”

Gymnastics Championship of Russia - Junior

Artem Arnaut won second prize in the Championship of Russia
31 March - 4 April 2015, 

Artem won the silver medal in the individual all-round program of sports masters. First place went to Andrew Makolov (Tolyatti), the third was Dmitry says (Efremov). Under the program, the CCM won Nikolai Kishkilev of Moscow, Yuri Busse second was from St. Petersburg, the third - Mikhail Yurchenko (Obninsk)

Note : Artem Arnaut won three medals at the international tournament in Germany recently.
