2017 European Championship
Nadia Comaneci Vows To Be Fully Committed To Organizing The Up Coming European Championships
After launching 2017 European Championship website, Nadia Comaneci, Montreal Olympic champion, vowed to be fully committed to organizing the event in order for it to be at its highest standards.
"I was very enthusiastic and very happy when I received this news" said Comaneci.
"For all Romanians, this is the best opportunity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first WAG European Championship, which was held in Bucharest, in 1957."
"For me, 2017 will mark the 40th anniversary of winning my second European all around gold medal. I'll will do everything I can in order for the competition to be the best"
Romanian MAG champion, Marian Dragulescu expressed desire to compete at the European championships.

OLYMPIC HOPES CUP 2016, Liberec, Czech
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION IN ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS
The competition in artistic gymnastic was established in the last decade as a contest of four contries of “Visegrad”. The level of competition was very high right from the beginning. A team of volunteers from Gymnastics Liberec organized this event in 2006 – still under name VISEGRAD 2006. The competition was opened to all countries in that year. In 2009 the event was renamed to Olympic Hopes’ Cup OHC LIBEREC and it became a regular and prestigious competition of young gymnasts from all over the world. It is a competition of teams of boys and girls and there is no other event like this in the whole Europe.
WAG: Junior: 13-15 (2001-2003)
MAG: Junior: 14-17 (1999-2002)

It’s a TEAM competition: 6 on the team, 5 compete, 4 scores count.
The best 8 individual gymnasts on each apparatus, both MAG and WAG, will compete at the finals on Saturday, November 5th 2016..
